17 again is pretty funny. unfortunately the plot is really unrealistic and weird. easy to catch story plot, quite predictable, but it's the little bits of humour and weird actions & comments from the various characters.

oh, and zac efron always plays basketball in all his films can't he do smth else :x good thing is that his character in this show's more matured. no more 'wildcats everywhere put your hands up in the air' kinda thing.

it's friday, and charmaine has no school on fridays for 8 weeks (this is the 1st week, so 7 more). so i must treasure every free friday that i have for the next 7 weeks ^^ cause when attachment start i'll just dieeee x_x

Went down to 18 chefs for lunch today with my family. For those who do not know what/where it is, 18 chefs is at East Point, Simei. They also have another outlet at Fusionopolis.

They are quite reknowned for their baked rice and their rootbeer battered fish n' chips. Average cost for adult is about $8+ and they absorb service charge so you don't have to fork out another 10% of fees (:

Students and nurses (@ East Point outlet) have special discounts and rates too, and have things such as free additional toppings top ups and further discounts during certain hours.

For cheese/baked rice lovers, it's worth the try! ;D

So after lunch bro & i headed down to Tampines for two different motives. Brother's motive was to go to the arcade and mine was actually to go shopping =x Usually I'll be super lazy to shop but today, I just felt like it. So I bought 2 tops and now I'm home!

School's starting tomorrow. It has been a rather interesting holiday (work-less though) and there have been ups and downs.

I know there will be more difficult times ahead.. I believe that there will be even more happier times too and i will stay strong.

By now, most of you might have heard about the singing talent that shocked the world on Britan's Got Talent (if you just heard about it now thank me lol).

Yup, 47 year old (going 48) Susan Boyle is really a natural talent, just that she looks... not hot on the outside. Almost everyone was laughing at her when she stepped on the stage and the judges weren't exactly very nice to her either (at the beginning).

Everyone who posted a video on Youtube.com of her have become famous overnight. As much as 3 million views and that's crazy. In just 6 days!

To be honest, I felt that he didn't deserve the save. The judges could have kept it for the next round, the top 6 [disco week]. Afterall , disco is tough and very unique , not everyone can sing it well and not make it sound like a k-box session.

Now, the judges have created another week where 2 contestants will be k.o-ed (knocked out). If one of their favourite (e.g. Danny) end up in the bottom 2 then they can go cry.

Do you think Matt G. should be saved?
Hmmm... True, his RnB stuff are quite nice, but but... I FEEL THAT... there are so many RnB singers in the world, and he's not unique enough!

My cousin, Joanne Jie, wanted to know more about the new mall: Tampines 1. But before I blog about it, here's a little something to my other cousin: TESSA JIE! SEE & REMEMBER THIS OK: behind every person is an entire family ^^

10 Stuff about it:

1. It is beside Tampines MRT.
2. It has a lot of glass panels..
3. It is very crowded, even on weekdays (for now)
4. There are loads of opening sales so better buy now
5. There is a marche look/sound alike, just that it is JAP food
6. There are very minimal car park lots, so, don't drive there :) OR park at TM or CS. Walk a bit also won't die. Or be eco-friendly, take public transport.
7. There is a spa/gym and a rooftop terrace
8. The escalators aren't as durable, some have been serviced already. Maybe it's really that lousy or maybe young children jumped on it really hard.
9. Bring a lot of money there. Maybe you could 'borrow' your parents' credit card >.<
10. The arcade is pathetic.

Go for the experience!

a friend of my grandaunt's passed away after battling those jiat lat cases of cancer where it spreads to every part of your body and you just die after awhile. even the doctors cannot save. but what i really admired about him was the way he dealt with things. he took things calmly, and he did not blame God. Yup, doctor said only 3 months left to live, but he only lived till one plus or even lesser i didn't exactly ask.

just before he died, he even compiled all his poems and stuff into a book.

So admirable.

You know, I also have plans if I only had 3 months to live (I'm sure everyone does so don't say I emo). BUT i only planned for the first month, cause you never know how long you will live. When the first month ending, then plan for the 2nd month lor.

Being a very guai girl, I'm staying home today. Mopped the floor and now I'm just looking at 2nd hand cars / new cars. Now nothing much to do cause my main goal for the holiday was to acquire my class 3 license! Doubt I will be getting my own car till I start working full time in the future though :(

but when we met up, it became

well, shopping is still what we ended up doing
oh, and eating too heh.

and it was the first time (that i can ever remember) that i ever ate LAKSA :) thanks KL for recommending that shop @ Katong. It was awesome though fattening.

we talked a lot yesterday. i'm glad we met up :) may we have more meet ups. cheers to meeting up with secondary school friends (:
